Superhero 'crime fighter' facing charges over Sydney brawl

A man dressed as a super hero crime fighter walked from a Sydney police station accused of the exact opposite - starting crime.

Police allege the costumed men started a brawl in the city on Saturday night, which left a man unconscious and needing medical treatment.

Officers were called to a nightclub on King Street just after 2am following reports a group of men had been involved in an brawl.

Police allege the accused or, Wolverine as he's known, was kicked out of a city nightclub and started to brawl on the street.

One man was taken to hospital as the man, dressed as Wolverine, was taken into custody.

"It's just a misunderstanding," Wolverine told 7 News outside the police station.

At the same time as the superheroes were being dealt with by the real crime fighters, another brawl less than a kilometre away broke out, and another assault charge was laid.
