Segenhoe boss Kevin Maloney loves to see his colours at the Scone meeting and is out to take a two-year-old double on Friday and Saturday.
Nick The Skip reaches his target race, of a year, in Friday’s Inglis Challenge, while there are high hopes for Pretty In Pink in the Woodlands Stakes on Saturday.
“It is a great weekend and you like to have a winner or two, if not in the colours, ones we have bred,” Maloney said. “You go to this meeting and everyone from the stud is there and looking for bragging rights in a sense.
“We always buy one or two at the Scone sales for the race on Friday and have won it with Voodoo Lad in the past. We paid $56,000 for Nick, which is not bad value considering he is an I Am Invincible."
The Inglis Scone sales take place on Sunday and Monday with almost 300 yearling on offer which can chase the $100,000 race in 12 months time.
