An air and land search is under way for a 45-year-old Victorian man who was reported missing while prospecting in the Goldfields on Christmas Day.
Adam Galvin was prospecting on Monday with a friend, who contacted police to say he had last seen Mr Galvin at 10am while they were near Carosue Dam, Mulgabbie, about 150km north-east of Kalgoorlie.
Police began a land search of the general area on Monday after receiving the report.
The search for Mr Galvin was escalated on Tuesday morning when a plane was deployed from Kalgoorlie.
Concerns are held for Mr Galvin's welfare as it is unknown if he has food or water on him.
Anyone who has spoken to him in recent days is asked to contact police on 131 444.
The search for Mr Galvin will continue into the evening and overnight, with plans being made for more searching on Wednesday morning if he has not been located by then.
