High-profile Brisbane lawyer Sam Di Carlo structured legal representation for people involved in a corruption watchdog investigation to feed him information, police allege.

The detail emerged as the 60-year-old, who was charged with perjury last month over allegations he lied at a Crime and Corruption Commission investigative hearing, had his bail conditions varied on Tuesday.

He had sought to be able to contact people he was banned from speaking with as part of bail conditions, but agreed to leave embattled former Ipswich mayor Paul Pisasale on the list of those he would avoid.
