Police want the public's help to find a stolen car involved in a crime spree across Canberra's south.

ACT Policing said the silver Ford Falcon sedan - ACT registration YGJ43X - was believed to have been stolen from Philip on Thursday.

Police said the car was seen at Woolworths Caltex petrol station in Lanyon about 9.30am Friday.

An hour, later the car was involved in a petrol drive off at the Woolworths Caltex petrol station in Erindale.

About 11.55am, the car was spotted at Cooleman Court, Weston, where the occupants were alleged to have been involved in an assault.

Members of the community are urged not to approach the vehicle or its occupants, but to call police on 131 444.

Police ask anyone who has seen the vehicle, any of the incidents or have dash-cam footage related to them to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
