The daughter of the former Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone secured a divorce yesterday after an acrimonious estrangement. Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt agreed a division of their estimated £5.5 billion joint fortune. Mr Stunt, 35, the director of a gold-dealing business, said in a statement that he was devastated and still loved his ex-wife.
Ms Ecclestone, 28, had sought to enforce a £16 million prenuptial agreement. Police were called to their £68 million London home in July after reports of a dispute as their six-year marriage collapsed. The couple, left, who have three children, were later criticised for failing to attend court to resolve their differences before what became one of Britain’s highest-value divorce cases.
