Police say a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of the death of a man found murdered in his home at Warradale in Adelaide's south.
The body of the man in his sixties was discovered by his sister on Thursday afternoon inside the Kildonan Road property.
Police were called to the property about 4:00pm and believe the victim was last seen around lunchtime on Wednesday.
Major Crime detectives and forensic officers took items from the house last night.
Detective Chief Inspector Greg Hutchins says forensic crime experts will examine the scene today but would not say how the man was murdered.
"His death has been declared a major crime. The man was found by his sister, she called police, police have attended, since that time the matter has been treated as a suspicious death," he said.
"Inquiries which have followed have established that the man was murdered. At this stage the man has not been identified and for obvious reasons I cannot disclose the cause of death."
Kildonan Road will remain taped-off to traffic between Mattson and Struan Avenues.
