A decision will be made this week on whether consistent Sydney six-year-old Dreamforce pushes on to contest the Railway Stakes in Perth later this month.

The gelding's quietly spoken trainer John Thompson agreed the horse was good enough to contest the Railway Stakes, the same race he won with Gathering in 2010.

Dreamforce's win in the DeRucci Chatham Stakes on Saturday gave Oaks winning jockey Damian Lane his third win for the Flemington carnival, his perfect ride allowing the six-year-old to outlast the fast-finishing Widgee Turf.

With nine wins and seven minor placings from 21 starts, the horse looks well suited in the group one mile with the group three win backing up his listed race win at Rosehill.
