LAURIE Daley will be praying his forwards can get through the last few days of NSW camp unscathed after shadow player Jack De Belin copped a charge out of the Dragons-Eels clash.
De Belin faces a one-week suspension regardless of his plea after he was charged for a crusher tackle on Kenny Edwards in St George Illawarra’s 24-10 loss to Parramatta.
It’s another blow to the Dragons’ spiralling season, with De Belin one of the Red V’s star performers so far in 2017.
Unless the 26-year-old lock overturns the charge at the NRL judiciary, he will be unavailable for the Blues should an unexpected injury arise and will miss the Dragons’ next clash against Newcastle on Sunday.
Meanwhile, forward Tim Grant has been rubbed out for the Wests Tigers’ match against the Gold Coast on Friday.
Grant has opted not to contest a dangerous throw charge on Paul Gallen in Saturday’s loss to Cronulla and will spend a week on the sidelines.
