Cate Campbell remains on track for five gold medals at the Pan Pacs in Tokyo after another dominant swim to help seal victory in the women's 4x100m relay over arch rivals America.

The Australians are the world record-holders and Olympic champions but could have been vulnerable without the services of Bronte Campbell, who has skipped the event to rehab her array of injuries.

It mattered not. Emily Seebohm led them off, handing over to Shayna Jack before Emma McKeon set up the win with a clutch third leg. They went from fourth, to third to second and then first after Campbell's split of 51.36s.

Their time of 3:31.58s was a championships record, with Simone Manuel and the Americans nearly two seconds behind. Manuel owns Olympic gold but hasn't been able to get near Campbell at this meet.

With one day remaining, Campbell has the 50m freestyle and the medley relay to try and add to her tally. She's been a force of nature in the Tatsumi pool and will be favourite for the 50m. She only needs to be within touch in the relay and she can bring up five.
