Cumani breaks family duck at Flemington with One More Try

It's rare that a winning trainer gets interviewed by his sister, but that's the position Matt Cumani was in at Flemington early on Cup Day after his mare One More Try toughed it out in difficult conditions to justify her position at the head of the market.

The Linda Meech-ridden four-year-old was too good for Dwayne Dunn and the $26 shot Seductive Miss, with the fancied Miss Siska third.

Cumani was doing the post race interview with Jason Richardson, the regular racing man for Channel Seven and Racing.com when his sister, Francesca, burst through the throng to give him a kiss and get in on the act, congratulating him on his achievement.

Their father, Luca, twice came close to winning the Melbourne Cup but never trained a winner at the headquarters of Australian racing.
