Having re-signed for a third season with Alè-Cipollini, Commonwealth Games gold medallist Chloe Hosking now has her sights set on winning a world title.

The Canberra cyclist announced on Thursday she will stay with the Women's World Tour team for 2019.

Her immediate goals will be the Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta this weekend and then she'll ride for Alè-Cipollini in the team time trial at the world championships in Innsbruck, Austria, on Sunday week.

Commonwealth Games gold medalist Chloe Hosking has re-signed with her team Alè-Cipollini for another year.

She's hoping to cap a stunning 2018 that's included winning the women's road race at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in April, a stage of the women's Tour Down Under and the Cadel Evan's Great Ocean Road Race.

Hosking also finished on the podium several times at the European spring classics, including second at Brugge-De Panne and Omloop van het Hageland, as well as third at Ronde van Drenthe.
