The Canberra A-League bid has added an Asian powerhouse to their campaign for a licence, firing another reminder to officials about the strength of the capital's proposal.

Hong Kong Football Club director of operations Tony Sealy has joined the Canberra bid team's advisory board and said a team in the city would be of high interest to Chinese businesses.
