If there's one thing more Australian than a barbecue it's a Holden Monaro.

But what if we told you could could have both, all in one, and for only $3000?

One Mandurah local is selling just that, advertising her barbecue built with the front end of what looks like a 1977 HZ GTS Monaro for sale on a Mandurah Facebook page.

The owner said the rig "connects to a gas bottle" and is "near new, hardly used".

The original '77 GTS sold for steal at $8482 when it was first released, and came standard with a 4.2 litre V8 (a 5.0 litre V8 was optional).

If you wanted one these days (without the barbecue and including the rest of the car) it would set you back at least $35,000.
