"I'm staying on to play the T20, so it's a nice sort of transition for me going from Test cricket and to get back into the T20 stuff and hopefully take some form into that series," Vince said.
The Sydney Thunder play the Perth Scorchers at Spotless Stadium on Thursday, before taking on cross-town rivals the Sydney Sixers at the SCG on Saturday night, a derby Vince says he's looking forward to.
"It was good fun last year actually, I think we bowled them out quite cheaply. So it was nice to get the win. It would be nice to go back there in front of a good crowd, hopefully put on a good show," Vince said.
The right-hander will look to contribute to some wins for the Thunder, who this season have won only two from six matches. The Western Sydney team is still a chance of making the finals, but will need to win every game to do so.
"I enjoyed my short stint here last year and hopefully we can come in and make an impact, obviously be good to have Uzzie back as well," he said. "We start tomorrow but hopefully 4/4 and we'll see where it takes us.
