Barlow Park set to come alive with NRL match between South Sydney and North Queensland in Cairns

CAIRNS Regional Council has released full details on parking and changed traffic conditions for the Rabbitohs v Cowboys NRL match at Barlow Park today.

Scott St will be reopened as a single lane, with one way access from Severin St to Buchan St from 10am to 8pm.

It will return to a full closure for the Cairns Show. Spence St, between Draper and Fearnley sts, will be closed from 5.30pm to 6.30pm to allow for safe exit from the game.

The council is encouraging fans to carpool or take public transport to the venue.

There is no patron parking in the Barlow Park carpark, a pick-up and drop off area within the carpark will be available.

Accessible parking permit holders will still be able to access the Barlow Park carpark through the entrance at the intersection of Scott and Severin sts only.

Bus services along Severin Street are available through local transport provider Sunbus.

General patron parking will also be available at the council’s Spence St administration building, accessed via Draper and Spence sts.

Free parking will also be available at the council carpark on the corner of Bunda and Spence sts.
