Leonard was lured to rugby after playing league last year and said it has been a "big learning curve" but can't wait to get stuck in against Queensland.
"It's very different and my biggest look into contact, but coming from other team sports you're still working with other people, it's just about learning the tactical things," Leonard said.
"That [rules] has been a bit of a struggle, playing sevens helped, but it's something you learn and get taught at training and it's good having the experienced Wallaroos girls helping me through it.
"Yep [the whistle blows and I don't know why] but that's the good thing about having 14 other people, you can turn around and ask what happened there."
The match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the Super Rugby clash between the Brumbies and the Sharks.
